Sleep deprived? Irritable? Suddenly inexplicably annoyed by your beloved’s amorous overtures? Difficulties with… what’s the word again… forgetfulness?
Congratulations, you’re in menopause! But good news: I can help you!
By 2030, an estimated 1.2 billion of us across the globe are going to be in the menopausal process.
It’s an extraordinary experience – in classic Darwinian terms, mammals typically die off once they’ve fulfilled their reproductive purpose.
“It doesn’t make sense from an evolutionary perspective to live half your life and then lose the ability to reproduce but continue living for so many years,”
evolutionary biologist Deena Emera points out in her book, A Brief History of the Female Body.
Only a handful of species on Earth live a significant portion of their lives after their reproductive phase: orcas and three other toothed whale species — belugas, narwhals and short-finned pilot whales — and, according to a recent study, chimpanzees from one population in western Uganda. And humans.
This suggests that our lives during and after menopause are designed for a reason – we have a significant purpose to fulfil once we’re done with childrearing.
Are you ready to discover that purpose?
Why do I need a menopause coach?
An informed woman is an empowered woman and understanding what’s happening to your mind and body will make this transition a lot more peaceful and valuable. Each woman’s menopause is unique to her own body, state of health, lifestyle, and circumstances. Let me help you adapt your unique menopause to your unique body and your unique life.
Why do I need a minimum of four sessions?
I will spend one session getting to know you – your lifestyle, your circumstances, your health, and how your menopause is progressing. Then we’ll work out strategies to help you deal with the menopause effects impacting your life, and we’ll track your progress and tweak and improve upon the strategies until you feel that you have a handle on it.

How long will I need coaching for?
Perimenopause and menopause can last anywhere from seven to 14 years of your life, and the effects on your mind and body and your life will keep changing through that process. You can keep coming back for coaching sessions on and off as you progress through the process.
How much will it cost me?
I offer counselling in a variety of formats:
One-on-one
In hour-long sessions, in person in Johannesburg and online (Zoom, Teams) globally.
Buddy sessions
In person and online, for you and your bestie.
Monthly Kōnenki Circles
For your book club or women’s group, where we discuss our problems, offer support and share advice and techniques.
Kōnenki Talks
And I’m available as a guest speaker for a Kōnenki Talk, to offer information on how menopause works and why what’s happening to you is happening to you.
So reach out and let’s discuss which option is best for you at a price point you can afford.
En hierdie diens is uiteraard ook in Afrikaans beskikbaar! Kom drink ‘n teetjie en kom ons gesels.
